Week #3: 7/10 to 7/14, Crazy Concoctions
The natural world provides plenty of opportunity for experimenting with science. This week is filled with projects that inspire fun and innovation. Just a few of the crazy concoctions include cloud dough, sand art, rock candy and bubble making. Who says STEM can’t be fun?

Week #4: 7/17 to 7/21, Animal Planet
Where do animals hide during the day? What do they eat in winter? Find out in our week all about animals! Campers will turn into forest rangers this week as they learn about animal traits, habitats and how to help protect our wilderness.

Week #5: 7/24 to 7/28, Under the Big Top
Each camp day includes carnival themed games, dancing, group challenges, crafts and more. The highlight to our week includes a special carnival spectacular including popcorn and homemade icee’s.

Week #6: 7/31 to 8/4, Camp Coddington’s Got Talent
Can you do tricks with a Frisbee or basketball? Do you sing or dance? Are caricatures your thing? Join us for one of our most popular weeks, the talent show gives our campers a time to shine and showcase their many talents. Campers will plan and organize a talent show and then participate individually, in groups or be a member of the audience.

Week #7: 8/7 to 8/11, Beach Bash
Grab the lemonade, put on your sunglasses and don’t forget your swimsuits as we enjoy the summer at Camp Coddington’s Beach Bash. Join us for hula hoop games, water balloon obstacle courses, and duck-duck-splash.

Week #8: 8/14 to 8/18, Wilderness Survival
Let’s explore. Campers become one with nature, construct lean to structures and explore on wilderness hikes and adventures in the woods.

Week #9: 8/21 to 8/25, I Love NY
Learn and discover all that the great state of NY has to offer with fun facts, nature hikes, theater games and high rise arts and crafts. Campers will explore our 12 acres of beautiful woodlands in a NY state of mind.

Week #10: 8/28 to 9/1, Decades of Fun

Tompkins County Community Matchup

Posted by CRCC in Coddington Road Community Center Blog

On Sunday December 11th, the Coddington Road Community Center was one of 50+ non-profit organizations that attended a wonderful new event.  This event is known as Tompkins County Community Matchup.  Formed by Ann Kelles, a Tompkins County Legislator, the goal is to connect non-profit organizations with local donors who are interested in donating money or time to volunteer.  We at Coddington were honored to be in attendance.  It was wonderful to meet all interested volunteers, as well as other area non-profits.

For more information on Tompkins County Community Matchup, please visit their website.

2016 Fall Festival a Success!

The weather may not have worked out in our favor, but the 2016 Fall Festival was still a success.  We are so thankful to all our staff, families, board members and community members who braved the cold, rainy weather to come spend the afternoon with us.  We truly appreciate your dedication to Coddington and the Fall Festival.

We decided to move many of our activities inside to accommodate for the poor weather.  Some of the day’s most popular activities included Amazing Pete Balloons, Spooky Science with Matt, Beauty Salon with Claire and the Cake Walk.

Of course, what would the Fall Festival be without our amazing fall raffle?!  Thank you to all the businesses who pledged their support to the Coddington Road Community Center with their raffle donations.  Thank you!
