Bear Room: Virtual Train Ride!

Posted by CRCC in Coddington Road Community Center Blog
Children in the Coddington Road Community Center's Bear Room are in a classroom looking at a projector screen and are on a virtual train ride. This week, the Bear Room is learning about trains. Did you know there are 22 different types of trains? Our children have been learning about them, including that bullet trains travel the fastest and monorails are on a single rail. This morning, the Bear Room went on a virtual train ride. During the ride, the children asked inquisitive questions and shared observations. We heard:
– “Will the train stay on the tracks?”
– “There is a train in my doctor’s office.”
– “There’s the river!”
– “Look at the waterfall!”
– “That is a steam train.”
At the conclusion of the virtual train ride, each child was asked to share their favorite part of the experience. We heard:
– “All the driving.”
– “The beautiful in it.”
– “The rocks!”
– “The steam from the train!”
– “The trees.”
– “The river”
– “The view from the train.”
