Camp Coddington is an outdoor summer camp located on 12 acres of beautiful woodland. We promote a family atmosphere with children of different ages mixing for activities based on interest and choice. We provide a schedule of structured activities in a wide variety of areas, as well as opportunities for children to participate in self-directed play within supervised boundaries. Our weekly themes encourage and support imaginative play, and value creativity. Coddington Road Community Center keeps summer fun and adventurous with Camp Coddington!
Camp Highlights
- Camp Coddington is open to children entering kindergarten through 8th grade. Children entering kindergarten in fall 2026 should register for the K-Camp group, children entering 1st-5th grade should register for the Elementary group, children entering grades 6th-8th should register for the Middle School group.
- Camp Coddington is an outdoor based summer camp program utilizing shelters; K-Camp will have a home base indoors in a classroom, while spending the majority of their day outside.
- We operate a paid Counselor-in-Training program for adolescents 15 to 17 years old, along with unpaid internship program for adolescents in in middle school to 14 years of age; click here for additional information.
- Campers are assigned weekly to a shelter group at one of our outdoor pavilions. If you are registering with a friend or have questions about which group your child will be in, please inquire during the registration process.
- Camp Coddington maintains a maximum ratio of 1 counselor per 10 campers. Their role is to guide, care for, and help children choose activities, get involved, and make new friends. Additional staff are assigned as needed. Staff are supervised by the Community Programs Manager and Camp Coordinators.
- Several activities are scheduled throughout the day including: arts and crafts, field games, sports, woodland hikes, campfires, wilderness skills and unique kid and counselor developed projects. Throughout the summer we have a variety of local guests, cool events, and weekly themes to keep camp fresh and exciting!
2026 Program Updates
Junior CIT Program: Middle school campers with at least one year prior attendance at Camp Coddington AND at least age 14 can apply for the Junior CIT program. Junior CITs are placed in a camp group where they will enjoy all the traditional camp activities, while acting in the capacity of a camp volunteer. Due to the age of participants in this program, the youth need to be registered as campers, however we are offering a 50% discount on camp tuition for weeks that the youth participate in the Junior CIT program. There is a limit of 4 Junior CITs per week. Participation is voluntary; however, youth must agree to participate in order to receive the discount. 2026 Enrollment Options
* All programs run Monday through Friday. Please note Camp Coddington is closed, Friday, July 3rd 2026.
* Rates include the cost of all daily activities and events, including a snacks. Campers supply their own lunch.

* Add-ons are available for before/after care, before care only or after care only for an additional fee. Campers not picked up on time will be charged a $1 per minute late fee. To avoid this fee, please ensure you select the proper plan during registration.

* Camp runs from Monday 6/29/2026 to Friday 8/28/2026 with weekly sign-ups. Enrollment is currently open for the first 9 weeks of camp. Week 10 (Monday 8/30-Thursday 9/3) will operate as Coddington Wild, first open to current early childhood and afterschool families. If you are not a current family but are interested in care, please email Jen Dean at jennifer.d@coddingtonroad.org to be added to our waitlist.
* There is a late pick-up fee of $1 per minute in all programs.
2026 Registration & Payment Schedule
* There is a $30 school age programming registration fee. Children currently enrolled in Coddington’s preschool, afterschool or Coddington Wild have already paid this fee and it will not be applied again.
* Coddington is proud to offer flexible payment options. During the registration process, you’ll be asked to select the payment plan that works best for your family. Once your registration is approved, a billing plan will be created. Please note that your first payment will be expected upon receipt. Payment arrangement options are:
- 1 payment: full payment is due upon registration acceptance.
- 2 payments: ½ due upon registration acceptance and ½ due on 3/30/26.
- 3 Payments: 1/3rd due upon registration acceptance, 1/3rd due on 3/30/26, 1/3rd due on 4/30/26.
- 4 Payments: 1/4th due upon registration acceptance, 1/4th due on 3/30/26, 1/4th due on 4/30/26 and 1/4th due on 5/30/26.
- 5 Payments: 1/5th due upon registration acceptance, 1/5th due on 3/30/26, 1/5th due on 4/30/26, 1/5th due on 5/30/26 and 1/5th due on 6/30/26.
Cancellation Policy
If you must cancel enrollment, our refund policy is below. Please note there are no penalties applied if you need to switch enrollment to another week if spaces are available.
- If you cancel before March 30, 2026 you are entitled to a refund of any fees paid minus the $30 registration.
- If you cancel between March 30, 2026 and April 30, 2026, Coddington will retain your $30 registration fee and half of your balance paid.
- If you cancel after April 30, 2026 there will be no refund unless your spot can be filled from our waitlist.
Scholarships & Payment Arrangements
New York State helps income-eligible working parents pay for child care, including summer camp. Please visit the Tompkins County Department of Social Services website for additional information, eligibility guidelines and an online application. The Tompkins County Department of Social Services can also be reached via phone at (607) 274-5612. If you reside outside of Tompkins County, please contact your county’s local Department of Social Services.
