The Coddington Road Childcare Center has three main programs:

Opened in 1985 Coddington Child Care Center continues to serve the community as a not-for-profit organization.


We are located on 12 acres of land just three miles from Ithaca College.  Coddington provides child care on a sliding scale rate based on family income.


Coddington Child Care Center promotes daily learning by allowing children to express themselves through play.  We believe children are natural scientists who question, observe, and imitate the world around them turning concepts and ideas into tangible structures, expressions and experiences. 

 

The teacher guides the children by observing them play, listening to their ideas and giving them the opportunity to follow through with the detail of their visions. Teachers continually engage in dialogue, based on the happenings of the classroom among themselves and the children. It is then that the curriculum is created and implemented.
