Welcome :: After School Program

The Community Center offers after-school care for up to 20 elementary-aged children, as well as an optional full day program on some school holidays (See CRCC Calendar). The program is staffed by a Group Leader, an Assistant and work study students from Ithaca College.

A variety of activities and fun will be offered, including:

1. •Arts, crafts and music activities
   

2. •Dramatic play area
   

3. •Cooking projects & cookouts
   

4. •Outdoor games & play (Just like at camp but sledding too!)
   

5. •Homework support and reading enrichment
   

6. •Field trips on full days (including swim trips!)
   

General Information

Our School-age program operates under our NYS Child Care license. Combined with our summer camp program, care will be available every weekday of the year with exceptions shown on the CRCC calendar. Children enrolled in the After-school program will be guaranteed spots in our Summer Camp, if desired. The Ithaca School District provides transportation to our site from some schools.

To register your child you may call the main office at 607-277-1434 or download the Registration forms from our website and mail them to the center. A yearly registration fee of $30.00 and a refundable deposit is required to hold an opening. Admission is on a space available basis. No child will be discriminated against because of race, creed, color, national origin or sex.

Scholarships

Tompkins County DSS helps income-eligible working parents pay all or part of their child care fees. Call their Day Care Unit at 274-5219 to see if you are eligible.
